About Andrew:
“Dude, you work too much.” is something I hear from my friends a lot, but when you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like you’re working too much.
I grew up in a medium sized (compared to the rest of the state) town in Iowa. I was obsessed with sports, making art and to the annoyance of my parents: shoes. I got my first job at the age of 13 doing farm work (Which also happened to be the first time I’d ever actually spent time on a farm, I was very out of place) before getting a job at a grocery store just prior to starting high school.
After graduating high school I received a scholarship to play basketball at our local community college. I often regretted choosing a JuCo over a Division III school but it was exactly what I needed, I just didn’t know it yet. During my two years of minimal playing time and stuck at a school that I didn’t really want to be at I really figured out who I was as a person and began to realize what I wanted out of life.
After my two years at Clinton Community College, I transferred to Iowa State University where I started out in the design program before switching over to advertising. While at Iowa State I got an internship with their Athletic Department and it started me on the path to be where I am today.
When I’m lucky enough to get some free time I enjoy playing basketball, working out, and finding new restaurants with amazing specials.
